Ах, подсолнух! уставший от времени,
Ты считаешь шаги солнца,

Где юноша, истомленный желанием,
И бледная дева, окутанная снегом,
Восстают из своих могил и стремятся

Ветреница и фиалка
Давно погибли,
И шиповник, и орхидея умерли
Среди летнего сияния.
Но на холме золотарник,
И астра в лесу,
И желтый подсолнух у ручья
Стояли в осенней красе,
Пока не упал мороз с чистого холодного неба,
Как чума на людей,
И яркость их улыбки исчезла
С холмов, полян и долин.
Скромная роза выпускает шип,
Смиренная овца — грозный рог,
А белая лилия будет наслаждаться любовью,
И ни шип, ни угроза не запятнают её яркую красоту.
