The colonel throws a cigarette butt on someone else's land, kicking concrete
He knows that at the end of the strip the colonel will end up with a house
And the alien air presses on your chest, even though the oxygen tank is clogged
He knows what is beyond the end of the runway, an eternal dream awaits him
The task is clear as always and again the interests of the country are at stake
In the fatigue of Letchin's eyes, not the smile of children, but only the severity of war
Another takeoff, there is still a bottom goal, he is a hostage to a difficult fate
The maestro will play another song, looking at the enemy from above
He follows the ground with his gaze, plunging into the blue
Behind the composure in his eyes, he quietly hides his gray hair
And only its side, landing, touches the ground
The Colonel again remembers how he misses his family
There, beyond the end of the runway, his honor awaits him, his orders await him
But somewhere beyond the ends of the earth, his mother, his young wife, was waiting
Dear, don’t cry, I live for you, for the day I see my home
But the bastard was alone, waiting for me there, on earth, with his Kalash
And the cries of the hyenas, that they want my ZSh, like a trophy, penetrate me
I realized how high the price for a pilot’s head is today
My iron bird, forgive me for letting you be hit
And at this moment I only ask God, I only ask him to forgive
He follows the sky with his gaze, plunging into darkness
And the bullet in his body does not allow him to stay here
And only the dome lowers, white-breasted to the ground
He returns to heaven, but on an angel's wing
