James Cotton is an American blues singer, recognized virtuoso of the blues harmonica with his unique playing style; continues the tradition of the Chicago school of harmonica playing, influenced by Sonny Boy Williamson II (Sonny Boy Williamson) and continued by the work of Little Walter (Little Walter) and Big Walter Horton (Big Walter Horton); played and recorded in Muddy Waters' blues band.
