Explosion craters smoke in the fields
All of Europe is drenched in our blood
Even though the echo of war beats ever quieter
No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten
Let those terrible years die down
Let the grass cover the traces of all roads
We remember their courage, the feat of the people -
Like an eternal fire that never goes out in the heart
Fingers clutching old letters
Those that the soldier wrote in the trench
Their faces will appear through generations
Like a wedge of cranes flying into the sunset
The ninth of May - One victory!
Levitan's speech sounded over the world
On the ninth of May - the country rejoices
The earth came to life after terrible battles
Tears of happiness rolled from my eyes
This day
Like salvation
Each of us was waiting
The Soviet people gave the world life -
Fascism was destroyed at a great price!
Granite slabs whisper names
fallen
And they burst into the heart at once
Eternal Flame
Like an eternal memory
Shines alive
Reflected in the eyes
We bow in silence - without further ado
These immortal names
And in every breath - their sacred feat
We will carry it in our hearts
Veterans' chest medals
They shine brighter than gold on a May day
Their slender step is like the sound of drums
Thank you for being alive!
The ninth of May - One victory!
Levitan's speech sounded over the world
On the ninth of May - the country rejoices
The earth came to life after terrible battles
Tears of happiness rolled from my eyes
This day
Like salvation
Each of us was waiting
The Soviet people gave the world life -
Fascism was destroyed at a great price!
Fireworks and flags fly into the sky
Light strikes the den of darkness
Volley of batteries - for those killed in the attack
We have a continuation of their bright dream
Get up, shut up
Let in this silence
The song of the battalion is heard
Gone on an eternal journey
The ninth of May - One victory!
Levitan's speech sounded over the world
On the ninth of May - the country rejoices
The earth came to life after terrible battles
Tears of happiness rolled from my eyes
This day
Like salvation
Each of us was waiting
The Soviet people gave the world life -
Fascism was destroyed at a great price!
The voice of victory lives on high
And know that they are not alone in the war.
