Анто́нио де Пáдуа Мари́я Севери́но Ло́пес де Сáнта-Áнна-и-Пéрес де Лебрóн (1794 — 1876гг.), известный как просто «Санта-Анна» и «Наполеон Запада» — мексиканский военный, государственный и политический деятель, генерал. Способствовал превращению Мексиканской империи в республику. В общей сложности 11 раз занимал пост президента Мексики на протяжении 22 лет. Antonio de Pádua Maria Severino López de Sánta - Ánna - and - Péres de Lebrón ( 1794 - 1876gg . ) , Known simply as " Santa Ana " and " Napoleon of the West" - a Mexican soldier, statesman and political figure , General. Contributed to the transformation of the Mexican Empire to the Republic. A total of 11 times served as President of Mexico for 22 years . During his reign, Mexico has been involved in the Texas Revolution (1835-1836 ; eventually Santa Anna was captured by the rebels ) , and the Mexican-American War ( 1846-1848 ) . As a result of both wars Mexico lost much of its territory (part of California and Texas) . In 1855, Santa Anna was finally ousted from the presidency .
