Zehn Minuten später lagen nur noch meine Knochen auf der Straße. Kaum war ich da nämlich zusammengebrochen (Der Kutscher lief zum Telefon) Da stürzten aus den Häusern schon Hungrige Menschen, um ein Pfund Fleisch zu erben Rissen mit Messern mir das Fleisch von den Knochen Und ich lebte überhaupt noch und war gar nicht fertig mit dem Sterben. Aber die kannt' ich doch von früher, die Leute! Die brachten mir Säcke gegen die Fliegen doch Schenkten mir altes Brot und ermahnten Meinen Kutscher, sanft mit mir umzugehen. Einst mir so freundlich und mir so feindlich heute! Plötzlich waren sie wie ausgewechselt! Ach, was war mit ihnen geschehen? Da fragte ich mich: Was für eine Kälte Muß über die Leute gekommen sein! Wer schlägt da so auf sie ein Daß sie jetzt so durch und durch erkaltet? So helft ihnen doch! Und tut das in Bälde! Sonst passiert euch etwas, was ihr nicht für möglich haltet! |
I pulled my load in spite of my weakness
I came to Frankfurter Allee .
There, I still think : Oh dear !
This weakness ! If I let myself go
Can ' s happened to me that I would collapse .
Ten minutes later, were only my bones on the road.
As soon as I was there namely collapsed
( The driver ran to the phone)
Since rushed out of the houses already
Hungry people to inherit a pound of flesh
Cracks with knives me the meat from the bone
And I lived at all and was not ready
with dying .
But the known ' I but from earlier , people !
The brought me sacks against the flies but
Gave me stale bread , exhorting
My coachman , deal gently with me.
Once upon me so friendly and so hostile to me today !
Suddenly, they were like a different person ! Oh, what was
happened to them?
Then I asked myself: What a cold
Must have come over the people !
Who proposes creating at them
The fact that they are now so thoroughly grown cold ?
So help them yet ! And does this in the near future !
Otherwise you something happens , what you do not think is possible!
